Julie Laviolette
Vice President, Procurement

Since joining Air Canada’s Financial Planning Department in 1989, Julie has held a number of management positions in Finance, Corporate Planning, Commercial Strategy, Revenue Management and Strategic Purchasing. From 1994 to 2006 she progressed through several Senior Management positions, including: Director & Branch Financial Officer – Commercial; Director, Pricing & Yield Management (Revenue Management); Director, Strategic Purchasing; and Senior Director, Procurement. She was appointed Vice President, Procurement & Corporate Real Estate in May 2006.

As Vice President, Procurement effective December 2007, Julie has overall responsibility for the procurement of goods and services worldwide, including fuel purchasing and supply.

Prior to joining Air Canada, Julie worked as a financial analyst for Canadian Airlines International in Vancouver. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Master of Science in Business Strategy from the University of British Columbia, where she graduated with Distinction upon completing her Master’s Thesis: “Strategies for the Deregulated Canadian Airline Industry” in l987.
