Duncan Dee
Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer
Duncan Dee was appointed Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer in April 2009 with oversight for all of Air Canada’s operations and customer service areas, as well as direct responsibility for Government Affairs and Corporate Security.
In September 2007, Duncan was appointed Executive Vice President, Customer Experience & Chief Administrative Officer with overall responsibility for all aspects of the customer airport experience throughout Air Canada’s worldwide network, as well as the airline’s International portfolio. In addition, his administrative responsibilities included oversight for the Law Branch, Corporate Communications, Government Affairs, Community Investments, Corporate Safety and Environment, and Corporate Security & Risk Management.
He previously held executive positions as Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs & Chief Administrative Officer at ACE Aviation Holdings Inc. and Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs, at Air Canada. Duncan joined Air Canada in 1997 and has held various positions in the Corporate Affairs and Government Relations branch and the Office of the President and CEO.
Prior to joining Air Canada, Duncan held senior positions in the Government of Canada including Press Secretary and Legislative Assistant to a federal Cabinet Minister. He is a graduate of the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. Duncan is a 2005 recipient of the prominent “Top 40 Under 40” Awards which recognizes 40 leaders annually across Canada who have reached significant levels of success before age 40. He is currently a member of the Board of Trustees of the Canadian Museum of Civilization Corporation, and a member of the Board of Directors of the National Arts Centre Foundation.
