At Air Canada Cargo, our first priority is an animal's safety and comfort, whether travel takes them across North America or across the globe.
Air Canada offers three options for AC Live:
- AC Live (Pets)
For household pets (cats and dogs only) travelling within Canada, and between Canada and USA
This option is also offered to private shippers of live animals out of the United Kingdom
- AC Live
For all other types of live animals (warm and cold blooded) including hatching eggs and live fish (except edible fish)
- AC Live (Aquatics / Insects)
For aquatic life forms and insects (Eg: live tropical fish, live rocks, coral, live bees)
These life forms and insects can be booked online via Cargo Portal Service (CPS)

Please note:
Due to some aircraft type, weight, weather or other regulatory restrictions, Air Canada may not be able to transport your animal to all the destinations we serve
Contact Us - Inquiries and Bookings
It is recommended that your bookings be made a minimum of 24 hours in advance for travel within North America and at least 5 days in advance for travel to international destinations. This is to confirm that all required parties have been pre-alerted, ensuring the utmost safety of your animal throughout its entire journey
