Air Canada Cargo’s fuel index is based on a weighted average price of jet fuel normally purchased from six (6) world fuel spot markets. The weekly weighted average price is compared to a fixed base price of $0.5624 USD per US gallon which is index level 100 and from this the fuel index is published.

Dear Valued Customer,
Based on the recent increase in the price of fuel, Air Canada Cargo will increase its existing fuel surcharge, effective May 05, 2008, by one (1) level to Level twenty (20) as noted in the fuel index area of our website.
The following fuel surcharge levels will be implemented in the key countries with the above effective date:

This increase will continue to be applied as “other charges due carrier” and will remain in effect until such time as the current fuel index level changes.
